Schellmann Art has been publishing prints, objects, and installation works in editions by outstanding contemporary artists since 1969. Beginning with multiples by Joseph Beuys in the early 1970s, the goal of publishing has always been to critically and metaphorically reflect the time and culture we live in. Over the years, Schellmann has increasingly focussed on art that comes into being through the conceptual design of the artist followed by the physical production by qualified craftsmen, workshops, or industrial enterprises — art generated by design and execution.
