Superstructure Homeoffice – #nostophomeoffice

13.05.2020 – 30.06.2020

The Architekturgalerie München in the Kunstareal will be open again from Wednesday 13 May. We cordially invite you and your friends to visit the new exhibition Superstructure Homeoffice!

Within the last weeks the world, living and working together has been completely turned upside down. In order to control the spread of the coronavirus and to protect our fellow human beings, we have moved to the home office – if possible. Sofas and kitchen tables became temporary workplaces, living rooms and bedrooms became the background for videoconferences, private interiors awakened to a new venue for public activities. Thus, cities and their inhabitants are confronted with a sudden inversion of public and private space. For the architect Florian Bengert, this circumstance was the reason for mapping this new working landscape as a collective entity, a superstructure “No-Stop Homeoffice”. With a first insight into the work-in-progress stand of the drawing, consisting of almost 800 entries from all over the world, Architekturgalerie München will open its exhibition rooms again on May 13.
